Formed in Milan in 1910 under the name Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili, the renowned Italian car maker has left an indelible mark on the history of automobiles. Changing name to Alfa Romeo in 1915, since then it is synonymous with technological development and elegance. The distinguishing feature of the Alfa trademark is the "Rosso Alfa" colour, famous since the 1920s.
The second Rosso AlfaRomeo St. Mortitz-Engadina Tour was held on 21-22 August 2010 with more than 50 historical Alfa Romeo models. The first day was a party-day Saturday in downtown Engadina where the elegance contest was held. The winners were: 8c Zagato Spyder Series 1 for "best over all" car; RL Targa Florio for best car from the 1910-1950 period; and a yellow Giulietta Goccia for most beautiful car from the 1951-1970 period.

For the event, the Alfa Romeo Historical Museum of Arese exhibited four unique and highly valuable models: the 8c 2300 Mille Miglia Type from 1932, the Gran Premio Type C from 1936, the Gran Premio Type 159 Alfetta from 1951, and the 33 Stradale Prototype from 1967.
The first day ended with a much appreciated gala dinner. Then, early Sunday morning, pilots and co-pilots left St. Moritz in the direction of Davos, driving along the picturesque Alpine pass of Albula. After lunch, they revved up their engines again to return to St. Moritz through the Flüela pass. At the end, the enthusiastic participants bid each other farewell with a final aperitif.
